The support is great and I am very please with them.
However, I have a reseller account and from what I read is that there is a 10.00 fee to protect your domain information.
You state that ;

Take some time to research before trying to talk down, its 10 per year fee for domains that were transfered into the hostgator system from somewhere else. its totally free for all domains signed up thru hostgator to begin with. reason being is the enom service is the old one and launchpad is the new system that allows you to set privacy for free, its just not possible at this time to transfer pre-owned accounts into the launchpad service.

It is $10 to setup the whois privacy
