    12,000 emails a day is a lot if that is Hostgator’s current limit. I’m looking for a new host not because I have had problems with my site, but because I have had too many problems with email with my current host. With 10 people in the company and most emails being copied to 3 or 4 people, we have hit their 200 emails an hour limit several times when things are very busy. Their email server is often down and their IP is on several blocked lists, so sometimes we have to email certain people using a Gmail account! I never thought I would be looking for a host based on email versus site uptime and speed. It seems crazy to get a dedicated server for the one or two times a year we hit 200+ emails an hour.

    For company use, a dedicated server is recommended, this is for security reason too. Off-course you can get the hostgator vps hosting as a budget solution as well, and they alow alot of email sending too.
