I just run a backup copy of the Hostgator hosting settings, files, and database. To do this, just login to hostgator cpanel > backup. To run the full backup of my website, i asked to enter my email address. Because the full backup takes time at server, and the backup path will be sent to my email once ready for downloads.
After few seconds, i received the email from cpanel@hostgatorreview.org and inside contains all the progress and status of the backup. From the log, it show that backup is completed for: reseller setting, cpanel setting, mail accounts, crons, subdomain, addon domains, parked domains, mysql database etc. And all the files are now ready for download at home/backup……tar.gz. So, later i ftp login to my hostgator ftp server, and perform the downloads. Remember to store this backup file at a safe place.
