<description>Just to let you know that I was able to figure it out.
The site where I got the script from had a &quot; : &quot; at the end of the following line:

RewriteRule (.*) http://www.yournewdomain.com/$1 [R=301,L]:

Removed the &quot; : &quot; and everything worked just nicely.</description>

<description>I hope you can help me out with this.
I&#039;m trying to redirect traffic from an old domain to a new domain.

After researching on the web, I found this script:

Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule (.*) http://www.yournewdomain.com/$1 [R=301,L]:

I changed the &quot;yourdomain.com&quot; above with the new domain URL

I copied it to the very top of my .htaccess file on my server in my old domain.
The only thing is, every time I go and click on one of the links that are indexex in Google for my old domain, I get the following error message:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Both blogs are hosted with HostGator on a reseller account.
Appreciate any help you can give me.
