Days ago, hostgator headquarter was having power surge incident and causing outage for a day. Hostgator office had been affected for the day, and there is no air conditioning supply, and employee have to continue work from home
. Is this hostgator outage causing server downtime or website downtime? we are checking out the service uptime statistic for our hostgatorreview.org website. From logs, there is no website downtime, only minor downtime for 5 minutes long maximum, we don’t see these as power outage reason. This hostgator power outage is only for their office building, and not data centre power outage.
“It’s been a hot summer at HostGator headquarters in Houston, TX. It didn’t help that a power surge at our office took down the power and, with it, the air conditioning for a full day (read the blog post: Anatomy of an Outage). During all of this, a bunch of employees went to each other’s houses to work from home for the day. While working from home may have its benefits, we’ll take the HostGator office over a coworker’s living room any day.“
