Hostgator affiliate payments slow & delayed?

Are you a hostgator affiliates? Promoting hostgator hosting and get paid for success sales referred. This is a hostgator review blog, and for sure its covering the hostgator affiliate program review too. We had witness the growth of hostgator affiliate program for the recent 3 years. Its big news when hostgator announcing $400k monthly payout in affiliate money. However, for this November & December, we doubt the figure are much lesser and falling. Is your hostgator affiliate payments slow or delay? There had been quit some discussion about this issue at hostgator forum and other web hosting forum too.

Question: Hostgator affiliate payment slow & delayed for this december 2009?
Answer: Be patient, hostgator affiliate are scheduled at early month, might take few days to get process.
Question: Hostgator affiliate conversion rate is poor? How many sales get paid?
Answer: Unfortunately, that is the truth. Don’t expect 90%, or 80% or 70% success rate. Hostgator affiliate perform lower than that!
Question: Does hostgator affiliate allow PPC advertising for example google adwords?
Answer: Yes, you can, but you can’t bid for keyword containing phrase “hostgator” or “host gator” etc.

Hostgator outage and power surge does not effect server

Days ago, hostgator headquarter was having power surge incident and causing outage for a day. Hostgator office had been affected for the day, and there is no air conditioning supply, and employee have to continue work from home . Is this hostgator outage causing server downtime or website downtime? we are checking out the service uptime statistic for our hostgatorreview.org website. From logs, there is no website downtime, only minor downtime for 5 minutes long maximum, we don’t see these as power outage reason. This hostgator power outage is only for their office building, and not data centre power outage.

“It’s been a hot summer at HostGator headquarters in Houston, TX. It didn’t help that a power surge at our office took down the power and, with it, the air conditioning for a full day (read the blog post: Anatomy of an Outage). During all of this, a bunch of employees went to each other’s houses to work from home for the day. While working from home may have its benefits, we’ll take the HostGator office over a coworker’s living room any day.“

Hostgator wordpress blog error & solved by hostgator support

Days ago, we noticed that this hostgatorreview.org wordpress blog is generating some error. Where blog post and subpages are not accessible, only the homepage can be accessible and view normally. We initially thought its caused by wordpress scripts etc, and quickly fixing it manually by uploading new scripts to hostgator ftp server. But this doesn’t solved it. Thus, its confirmed to be server side error. And thus we initiated the live chat with hostgator support team and hope to get the problem solved.
